The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for significant rainfall in various regions of Rajasthan on Thursday and Friday, attributed to a new weather system.
According to the department, "A well-defined low-pressure area over southwestern Bihar and nearby regions will advance towards Uttar Pradesh.
This system is expected to enhance rainfall activities in parts of eastern Rajasthan starting from July 17." It further stated, "In the Kota and Bharatpur divisions, heavy rainfall is anticipated at isolated locations on July 17, with the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall on July 18. Additionally, moderate rainfall along with heavy showers may occur in certain areas of Ajmer, Udaipur, and Jaipur divisions."
The weather department also indicated that light to moderate rainfall is expected in the Bikaner division over the next two days, while only scattered light rain is forecasted for the Jodhpur division. It reported that as of Thursday morning, up to 8:30 AM, many locations in the state experienced moderate to very heavy rainfall in the past 24 hours, with Ramganjmandi (Kota) recording the highest at 186.0 millimeters.
